PondBeyond
Pondbeyond is a London-based composition and sound design studio crafting original music and cutting-edge sonic worlds for film, brands, interactive installations, and the stage. The company’s ethos was born beside the pond fountains at the Barbican Centre, where the founder regularly sketches ideas: the ripples, resonance, and reflections there inform a signature language that reaches “beyond the surface.”
Rooted in a composition-led, narrative-driven approach, PondBeyond blends orchestral writing with electronic synthesis, textural sampling, and spatial audio (Stereo / 5.1 / Dolby Atmos). Services span end-to-end scoring, sound design, sonic branding, music supervision, and rights/clearance for bespoke projects of any scale.
Working closely with directors, creative agencies, and artists, PondBeyond pairs meticulous craft with contemporary aesthetics—building tight feedback loops, transparent schedules, and delivery standards that meet the demands of broadcast and immersive formats. The result: music that carries emotional precision, silence that speaks with intention, and soundscapes that draw audiences past the waterline to where stories resonate longest.
Brand Ideation
PondBeyond is a composition and sound design studio whose identity is born at the pond fountains of London’s Barbican Centre. The brand translates ripple, echo, and reflection into a visual language—celebrating how ideas travel beyond the water’s surface into deeper resonance. The tone is contemporary, precise, and quietly poetic, mirroring the studio’s craft of sculpting narrative-driven sound.
Main Logo
The logotype sets “POND” in a confident, geometric sans serif, with the “O” constructed from concentric rings—an abstracted ripple that signals movement, time, and spatial audio. “BEYOND” sits as a secondary, scaled for hierarchy, with its own ringed “O” to reinforce continuity and the notion of expansion. The overall form is balanced, legible, and distinctive on both digital and physical applications.
Supporting Icon
A standalone “ripple mark” is extracted from the ringed “O.” This circular icon functions as a favicon, app badge, or watermark on score sheets, cue sheets, and end slates. It can animate subtly (pulse/expand) in motion pieces, extending the brand’s sonic metaphor without needing the full wordmark.
Color Palette
A restrained monochrome system—granite white on deep black—keeps the identity timeless and production-ready, foregrounding content while evoking concert-hall darkness and the clarity of studio monitors. Greys derived from the speckled texture provide secondary tones for UI, captions, and print, ensuring high contrast, flexibility, and a premium, minimalist feel.
